So you
and your spouse would like a quiet dinner together and the hotel
provides a babysitter, easy right?
In
Las Vegas, some hotels do have provisions for babysitters. Please be
advised that the Nevada Law requires adult supervision for children
under the age of 14. Children ages 14 and above may be in the room
without this requirement.
For
the hotels providing babysitting services, a parent must remain on the
hotel property, should their return to the room be required.
Double-check the hours of babysitting services. Make sure that they are
available during the time you need. If not, see if they can recommend
anybody.
Ask
the same questions as you would at home. If there is an organized
program ask the following questions:
•
Do
they have planned activities?
•
Are meals provided?
•
How much does it cost?
•
Are they trained in CPR or emergency procedures?
•
What is the ratio between babysitter and children?
Remember that this is a family vacation. Try to do as much as you can
with the family and your children; the memories can never be replaced.
