There are two airports on Long Island, one at Deadman's Cay in the centre of the island (phone 242/337-0877), the other at Stella Maris at its northern end (phone 242/338-2015). Daily flights come in at midday. Guests staying at the Stella Maris Resort (phone 242/338-2050) also have the option of taking the hotel's private, twice-weekly flights from George Town and Nassau (one-way US$102).

Two government mail boats serve Long Island: the Mia Dean departs Potter's Cay in Nassau Tuesdays at noon, reaching Clarence Town in southern Long Island twelve hours later, then leaves for Nassau Wednesdays or early Thursday mornings (US$45 one-way); and the Sharice M departs Nassau Mondays at 5pm, reaching Deadman's Cay, Salt Pond and Seymours in northern Long Island after fifteen hours, then leaves for Nassau on Wednesdays (US$45 one-way). Two full-service marinas serve the island as well. The Stella Maris Marina (phone 242/338-2055) offers fifteen boat slips, electrical hookups, diesel and gasoline fuel,
