In Paradise Coe, the Smith family operate two well-maintained,
two-bedroom beachfront cottages (US$125 per night), a one-bedroom
apartment ($100) and a two-bedroom villa ($175) for rent within
steps of the water (phone 242/3420-2677). The family also runs a
friendly and relaxed snack bar and rents snorkeling gear and
glass-bottomed kayaks, and runs day excursions from Freeport/Lucaya.
Kayak Nature Tours (phone 242/373-2485) offers a unique view of Lucayan
National Park on its easy paddling kayak expeditions through a mangrove
creek, followed by a guided nature walk and picnic lunch on the beach
($69). Public buses also pass by three times a day.
