Most of the island's "lower end" tourism is concentrated in the
southwest of Barbados, between Bridgetown and the airport, with
several small villages offering a variety of lodgings and places to
eat.
There are excellent white-sand beaches all along this stretch of
coast, and the sea is calm pretty much all year round.
