As the most developed area of the south coast - with hotels, restaurants, tourist shops and vendors strung out along virtually the entire road

Just past Worthing, a right-hand turn takes you off Highway 7 to run along the coast for a kilometer or so, passing through the heavily visited ST LAWRENCE GAP and Dover before rejoining the main road near Maxwell.

As the most developed area of the south coast - with hotels, restaurants, tourist shops and vendors strung out along virtually the entire road - this is something of a tourist enclave; you'll see few Bajans here, other than those who work in the industry.

Still, it's a laid-back place with more great beaches, particularly towards the eastern end of St. Lawrence Gap, although erosion has taken its toll in a few spots. Most south coast buses and minibuses run through the area.

As perhaps expected for such a busy dining and nightlife strip, there are a few hustlers - mostly selling drugs - around St Lawrence Gap, but they're rarely over-pushy, and undercover cops are often on hand to nab the most persistent.
