Surprisingly, for its small size there are plenty of good
eating opportunities in and around Kralendijk, many of
them within walking distance of downtown. It's possible to
sample a variety of cuisines, among them Italian,
Indonesian, Dutch and local fare.
While hotel restaurants are generally more expensive
than dining in town, Kralendijk also has a couple of grocery
stores and bakeries offering a wide selection of fresh
produce and imported goods.
The many snack stands scattered throughout the island
are the best place to try delicious local fare, including
goat, fish or conch stews. Most meals cost under US$8.

While Bonaire is not known for its nightlife, there are a
few fun spots where you can unwind at the end of the day,
and many of the bars at hotels and resorts have live
music on weekends; check Bonaire Update, a free
bimonthly publication for upcoming events and activities.
