The islands aren't exactly pulsing with nightlife but there
are a few discos, outdoor bars and dance clubs.
The best way to find out what's happening is to read the
Friday edition of the Cayman Compass.
Wednesday through Saturday lie bands play soca and
reggae
at the outdoor beach bar Royal Palms (phone
345/945-6385) on Seven Mile Beach across from the West Shore
Centre shopping mall - there is no admission charge unless a
high-profile band is playing.
Bed
(phone 345/949-7199) on the Harquail Bypass also has lie
music in its tiny lounge.

Slapping rounds of dominos are played by the locals
especially on Friday nights at
Sunset House (phone 345/949-7111) on South Church just
east of downtown George Town; the open-air bar is also a
popular hangout for the scuba-diving crowd. Legendz
(phone 345/959-1950) on West Bay Road in the Falls strip
mall has lie bands and disco most nights.
