Wednesday through Saturday live bands play soca and reggae at the outdoor beach bar Royal Palms (phone 345/945-6385) on Seven Mile Beach across from the West Shore Centre shopping mall - there is no admission charge unless a high-profile band is playing.

Bed (phone 345/949-7199) on the Harquail Bypass also has live music in its tiny lounge.

Slapping rounds of dominos are played by the locals especially on Friday nights at Sunset House (phone 345/949-7111) on South Church just east of downtown George Town; the open-air bar is also a popular hangout for the scuba-diving crowd. Legendz (phone 345/959-1950) on West Bay Road in the Falls strip mall has live bands and disco most nights.
