By car, Summit County is about two hours from Denver. Greyhound buses stop at the Frisco Transit Center ($11 one-way) from where free buses radiate to Copper Mountain, Keystone and Breckenridge. There are also shuttles from Denver International Airport.

Resort Express serves Silerthorne and Breckenridge ($40; phone 970/468-7600 or 1-800/334-7433), while Supershuttle (phone1-800/258-3826) and Colorado Mountain Express (phone1-800/222-2112) run a more expensive door-to-door service to your hotel in Breckenridge. Summit Stage (phone970/453-1241) provides free local transportation around the county, and the Breckenridge Downtown Trolley (phone970/453-5000) runs through town and up to the resort.

 

 

The main visitor center (daily 9am-5pm; phone970/668-2051 or 1-800/424-1554,) stands by the lake at the end of Frisco's Main Street, and there's a small welcome center in Breckenridge at 309 N Main St (phone970/453-6018).
