With the exception of Keystone Resort, Summit County hasn't
developed a reputation for fine dining, though there's no end
of good-value places to eat, especially in Breckenridge.
Alpenglow
Stübe
Keystone Mountain phone 970/496-4386. The best dining experience in
Summit County - take the free gondola ride to the top of 11,444ft
North Peak and feast on New American cuisine with a Bavarian edge in
beautiful surroundings. It doesn't come cheap though - the
six-course meals run around $70.
Blue Moose
540 S Main St, Breckenridge phone 970/453-4859. Inventive café menu,
with lots of vegetarian dishes for well under $10. Open for
breakfast, when good inexpensive wheat pancakes are on offer, and
for lunch, when sandwiches, soups and salads take over.
Mi
Casa, 600 S Park Ave, Breckenridge
phone 970/453-2071. The best Mexican
food in Summit County, including fine chile rellenos . The
tangy fajitas are good value, as is the daily 3-6pm happy hour.
Mountain Java
118 S Ridge St, Breckenridge phone 970/453-1874. Cozy, book-lined
coffee house serving healthful lunches, low-fat muffins and gourmet
breads along with steaming espresso drinks.

Pika Bagel Bakery & Café

Frisco (phone 970/668-0902). Friendly outlets for a fruit smoothie and
a bagel sandwich.
The Prospector
130 S Main St phone 970/453-6858. Tasty traditional home-cooked
breakfasts (including a spicy and excellent huevos rancheros
) and lunches including roasts and meatloaf. Prices are among the
lowest in town.
Rasta Pasta
411 S Main St, Breckenridge phone 970/453-7467. Good, fairly cheap
pasta with a Caribbean twist and served to a soundtrack of reggae
music.
Uptown Bistro
304 Main St, Frisco phone 970/668-4728. This is an elegant, upscale
restaurant with seafood and Asian specialties.
