Airport to hotel transportation is handled by private companies for better service and they use only Vans. (No taxis are available at the airport).

Here’s a good way to cheat the system a little bit. Walk out of the airport to the main avenue which is about 200 feet away, there you will have good chance of finding a taxi which is faster and will charge you less than the airport transportation.

You can also rent a car at the airport. If you do have car, all you need to do is get a printed local guide of the island or print our maps to find your way around. Driving in Cozumel is very easy.
