Because there is no public bus serice on Long Island, taxis meet
every flight from the airport.
However,
if you plan to do your own exploring, you'll need to rent a car or a
motor scooter , which can be arranged through your hotel or by Alfred
Knowles (tel 242/338-5009 or 5091), on the north side, and Joe Williams
(tel 242/338-5002), in Glinton's, who both offer cars for US$65 per day
with unlimited mileage.

With
aried scenery and scant traffic, Long Island is a wonderful destination
for cyclists . The two main resorts - Cape Santa Maria Beach and Stella
Maris - have sericeable touring bikes for guest use.
