Throughout history the ring has beven regarded in many different ways; as a traditional symbol of infinity, eternity, power, or prestige.

Ring designs and materials inoling their manufacture are not too important in magic. The most important element is the stone. Each stone has a unique purpose or use, such as to heal, to beautify, whatever.

In ancient Rome and Greece the soldiers wore rings to exhibit their successful battles, their military rank and the imperators worn on their thumb. The difference lied on the stone. The higher the military grade or insignia, the higher the alue of the stone the soldier wore.

In the Middle Ages, it was customary to wear rings to identify the class or occupation of the wearers, i.e. doctors were required to wear the ring on their thumb, merchants worn rings on their index finger, laborers wore rings on their middle finger, students wore rings on their annular finger and couples wore rings on their auricular finger.
