Indian
culinary is
accented
with lots of spices, herbs;
above all, very
spicy hot. But,
there are always a way to skip these
traditional exaggerations.
It’s important to make it
very clear that you
don't want pepper
at all on your
food because “not pepper” means “pepper” to them.
A nother
option is to
request
a natural and sweet yogurt
(lassi) to accompany
your meal. Lassi is a regular drink accompanied
with meals
to break the pepper’s hot taste
and it can be a
cultural experience to you. Lassi is made up by distinct fruits and
herbs, depending upon the country region.
T he
most successful
drink among the Indian people is a tea. It’s always black
that includes
milk, sugar, ginger,
pepper and a pinch of cinnamon. They drink tea (tchai) all day long.
They offer the tchai to you in many occasions.
T he
foods are mouth
watering. Indian curry, on top of being worldly
famous, it's
quite different of the one outside India. Mainly because around 90%
of Indian restaurants are vegetarian. In Brazil, for example, curry
based foods are chicken and it’s not the most traditional Indian
curry.
