Negril caters to a cosmopolitan crowd and the classiest, albeit somewhat pricey, dining is likely to be found in hotel restaurants; the best of these are included in the listings.

Thanks to Negril's hippy associations, there are plenty of vegetarian options, and you'll also find a lot of pasta, as the area attracts a huge number of young Italians. Vendors based at the first stretch of West End Road sell roast or fried fish, jerk chicken and soup.

Sheffield Road
Sweet Spice
The best place on Sheffield Road for cheap, delicious Jamaican food to take away or eat in.

Blue Mountain Coffee Shop Deservedly popular breakfast joint. Excellent coffee, banana pancakes, callaloo omelet’s served up cheaply.

Cosmo's tel 876/957-4330. One of the best, busiest spots on the beach, equally popular with Jamaicans and tourists. Excellent, moderately priced seafood - conch soup is a specialty - and the usual selection of chicken variations.

LTU Pub Laid-back venue with cliffside dining. Eclectic menu offers seafood, stuffed jalapeño chillis, chicken filled with callaloo and cheese, and some German dishes.
