The phrase "Uptown Kingston" is used as a catch-all for areas of the city north of Cross Roads, including the business and commercial centers of Half Way Tree and New Kingston as well as residential areas such as Hope Pastures, Mona and Beverly Hills.

The heart of Uptown is the high-rise financial district of New Kingston, found in an eccentric triangle bounded by Trafalgar Road, Old Hope Road and Half Way Tree Road.

Though there are no attractions of note in New Kingston itself, there are plenty of facilities ranged along the central Knutsford Boulevard, and chances are that you will stay and do much of your eating and drinking in or around this area. Some of the interesting sights are within walking distance; the rest are a short taxi ride away.
