As the closest part of the mountains to Las Vegas, Kyle Canyon is the main day-trip destination. With each passing year, a few more buildings appear on its slopes, and it's starting to become a residential community.

Still, though there are a couple of hotels with year-round restaurants, there's nowhere up here to buy gas or basic groceries so stock up accordingly beforehand.
