reach the Promenade (aka "the Esplanade"), a boardwalk with one
of the most spectacular - and renowned - views in all of New York. It's
hard to take your eyes off the skyline, the water, the Brooklyn Bridge
and the Statue of Liberty in the distance, but do turn around and notice
between the trees the monstrous homes set back modestly from the
walkway.
