Most of Charlotte Amalie's sights are within the same square mile
and can easily be explored on foot - the bustling downtown
shopping area occupies the numerous narrow streets linking
Waterfront Drive and Main Street (Dronningens Gade) while historic
sights cluster on the slopes just east on Government Hill.
Further east of downtown Havensight Mall offers yet more
shopping and a couple of touristy diversions or you can hop on a
ferry to the calm beaches of Hassel and Water Islands in St
Thomas Harbor.
