You'll find maps and brochures on the ferry dock in
Cruz Bay (next to the ticket booth); grab a free copy of the
St John Guidebook, which has a great map of Cruz Bay.
The tourist office is located in town next to the
post office.
There is also a National Park Visitor Centre (daily
8am-4.30pm; phone 340/776-6201), at the creek in Cruz Bay,
on the other side of the car ferry dock, north of the town
centre.
The exhibits will give you a taste of what you can expect to
encounter on your hike and the centre will provide maps of
the park for self-guided walks, help you plan your trip or
book you onto guided hikes with park rangers. There is a
post office in Cruz Bay (Mon-Fri 7.30am-4.30pm and Sat
7.30am-noon; phone 340/779-4227).
