 The beach at the Hotel
on the Cay, across the harbor from Christiansted, is the
closest beach to town.
It's accessible only by the regular US$3 ferry, and offers
water sports rentals, a restaurant and bar.
Further away, the beach
at Cane Bay, six miles or so west of Christiansted
off Route 80, has great snorkeling, plus a dive shop that
offers trips, a beach bar and restaurant.
Closer to town,
Columbus Landing Beach is the beach off the Salt River
where Columbus's men first came ashore.
